Notes - Lucy Pearl Brewer was born June 21, 1878, the daughter of William Camp Brewer and Margaret Handley. She married Millard Henry Purifoy and had four children: Millard Alvis Purifoy Penny, Lucia Pearl "Lucy" Purifoy Penny, Boyd Purifoy (1914-1914), Margaret Ella Purifoy (1915-1915). After the death of her husband Millard Henry Purifoy, she moved with her two surviving children back to Mt. Vernon, Texas to live near her brother Bun Brewer and her sister Alice. Pearl had all her teeth pulled August 11, 1920 and died the next day and was buried in Mt. Vernon. The two surviving children were then adopted by John. R. Penny and wife Esther Elizabeth Morris.
